These days a variety of a residential culture is composed of composite elements and it is created for various purposes. Among them the most basic and physical desire that man has is cancelled through the space of bathroom. A bathroom must be hygienic in a functional view and a user must fel a social function and spiritual peace in a spiritual view. It is required a composite funtion and is a essential space for man's life.

This study purposes showing a desirable hygienic space and examining closely all of the problem of a bathroom through a study of a basic composition and an on-the-spot proble and an analysis of a practical state of things. Above all this study regards a bathroom as one system and make the best of "systematic Layout Planning" for a systematic layout of these conditions.

This study will progress the following contents for progressing a study of a bathroom effectively.

This report says the necessity and backing of thes study and showes the problem for making clear the purpose of this study in the first chapter. This established a bathroom of a small apartment as the confines of this study and arranged a direct question and systematic layout-way.

This report studied the mtaning of a bathroom, its changes and its theoretical backing as the concept of hygiene and collected and summarized the act in a bathroom, conditions and the existing matrials in the second chapter.

This report selected the sample of study and visited directly for making the concrete and practical inquiries about the subject of study in the third chapter. The analysis of findings made the best of frequency analysis and cluster analysis of spss/pc+ and had ready the monent for considering structually the present condition and the problem of a bathroom. As a result of problem analysis established this report the way of a bathroom-design and resulted in a general and partial design.

This report made the best of systematic Lay-out plunning, that applied the computors of "Space allocation Program" and "Cluster Analysis", for systematic layout of a partical design and these conditions in the fourth chapter.

This report fixed the perfact bathroom and the partical concepts and showed the new system of a bathroom with a drawing and a perspective drawing in the fifth chapter.

Finally arranged this report the concepts and the characteristic of a bathroom that is showed newly and had a distant view of the subject that must be studied.
